PLTW Engineering empowers students to step into the role of an engineer, adopt a problem-solving mindset, and make the leap from dreamers to doers.  The program's courses engage students in compelling, real-world challenges that help them become better collaborators and thinkers. Students take from the courses in-demand knowledge and skills they will use in high school and for the rest of their lives, on any career path they take.

Build A Strong Foundation

• Collaborate to design, build, and test innovative projects using the engineering design process

• Explore cutting-edge engineering topics from mechanical design and materials science to digital electronics, automation, and robotics

• Master modern manufacturing by automating processes using industrial FANUC robots, collaborative robots, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to solve real-world production challenges

To be successful in this field, students must be able to:

Precision Machining students must be able to

• Use math as a means of problem solving

• Read and comprehend material

• Meet safety requirements to operate tools
